SAN (Subject Alternative Names) / UC certificate (Unified Communication)
One TLS-certificate for a variety of FQDN.

Recommended for Microsoft Exchange 2007 & Office Communication Server 2007. Secure the OWA, Autodiscovery, SMTP and ActiveSync Exchange 2007 Services with just a single certificate. UCC or SAN certificates let you control the Subject Alternative Name field so that you can protect several URLs with just a single certificate.

Benefits of the SAN/ UC certificate

  • Secure a variety of hostname with a single certificate
  • Minimize costs by using the SAN/UC certificates, as one UC certificate is cheaper than various standard SSL certificates for each domain name
  • Reduce time expenditure with multi-year SAN/UC certificates
  • Deal with the constraints of wildcard certificates
  • Simplify the SSL configuration

The system sends notifications emails automatically to indicate timely on the looming expiration of a certificate.
