Disposal of your TCOS Smartcards

In Germany, the European WEEE Directive on the return and environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment is regulated by a law, denoted as "ElektroG", dated October 20, 2015 and changed on August 15, 2018. Since this change chipcards are also counted as electronic equipment and thus their disposal is regulated in the law.

Under WEEE-Reg.-No. DE59552058 Deutsche Telekom Security GmbH appears as manufacturer and authorized representative of the chipcards. Our chipcards, the TCOS chipcards, are marked with the appropriate symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment according to §9 of ElektroG. This symbol indicates to the user that the equipment should be disposed of properly by the manufacturer Deutsche Telekom Security GmbH and not in the household waste.

Please collect your Deutsche Telekom Security GmbH chipcards, that you no longer need, and send them to the following address:
